Come as you are, leave a fuller expression of your Heart's song.
Our song is to be a catalyst of heart-forward empowerment. It is Heart’s Song's aim to be the vessel that provides the tools for people and communities to sing their truest song. Our programming is rooted in the foundation that yoga and its practices both on and off the mat are for everyBODY. Heart’s Song brings together the world of yoga and social/emotional teachings to form tools that lead to self-love and acceptance. We believe that one small step brings radical change in a system and seek to make the world a better place, one note at a time. Heart’s Song is a community of building connections and resilience as individuals and whole; because when all is said and done we are all one.
Ashley came to yoga in 2008 when her mom became ill. Yoga was a way to connect and heal through movement during this difficult time. Yoga has brought Ashley a deeper connection to her mind, body, and spirit ever since. In 2015, Ashley was blessed to receive her 200hr teaching certificate under the guidance of her teachers Christen Bakken and Katy Rowe. The following year she continued her education under Christen Bakken and earned her 500hr teaching certificate.
Off her mat, Ashley shares her time in the school setting, as a public school mental health provider and advocate for children. She enjoys time in nature, reading, exploring the arts, and spending quality time with her loved ones.
Heart's Song Yoga is Ashley's dream to spread love and creativity by cultivating empowering connections to the world around us. Classes with Ashley create a melodic flow, calm presence, playful spirit, and open heart.
